just back from candolim.went fishing on beach near rocks at a place called velsom beach ,very beautiful and quiet ,we got a taxi there at 9am and stayed till 5pm return fair was 800 rps.also you can fish from beaches if you can find a quiet one ,plenty small catfish from beach,near rocks you will catch grouper and others,also went on boat with johns boats,3hours fishing 800 rps caught plenty fish all small about half pounders,you will also get to see dolphins ,hope this helps ,if you need any more info pm me.

Fishing in Goa

Hi.Been going to goa for 12 yrs.igo for 3-4 weeks,i fish from the beach every day,catfish are the main catch ,but have had rays,ladyfish,puffer,and a few more species.i fish on the calangute beach ,next to the Jomar shack owned by Tony and Celina,he goes to the fish market every morning,and brings my bait,which is sardine and mackeral.ive been on 2 boat trips but catch more from the beach.Mick.
