Please continue to say positive things about this hotel %26amp; the beach shacks that are the nearest, as the last repy on trip advisor is not a good one.

I am going on the 8th March for 2 weeks and I am so looking forward to it.

We have never ben to Goa before so it will hopefully all be one amazing experience.

Hi sorry I replied in the wrong area.... we are staying at the hotel Aldeia Santa Rita, hence the reply re: the beach shacks which are near this hotel.

The unhappy commentmaking reference to the ';Aldeia Santa Rita'; was posted on 30/01/07 by ';DOTIANED'; on the travel review of trip advisor.

Has any one stayed here since then to chear me up before we go?

I have stayed at this hotel twice, we really like it, the staff are lovely and it very near the beach. They provide lovely clean towels for the pool and the beach, which is a plus, saves carrying too many in your luggage. The only reason we have not stayed there again is that we can only get all inclusive deals and it is a waste in Goa as we never stay in the hotel. We used Blue Wave beach shack when we stayed there, it is usually near the exit from the hotel. Patrick makes the best Prawn curry I have ever tasted and the Lobster is out of this world. There are some lovely restaurants nearby, especially the little Italian ';Santa Lucia'; it is very cheap %26amp; the staff are lovely. We still go down to see everyone even though we are not staying there, especially our Taxi driver friend Raj and as soon as the tour operators here do Bed %26amp; Breakfast there, we will be back. We are going out on the 3rd March, can%26#39;t wait.

Thank you Goagirl that is good to hear, as it is our 1st experience in Goa we were not sure of just staying B%26amp;B. We will try out the places you have suggested to eat at.

Totally agree with goagirl- we have stayed at the ASR twice now and loved it both times.

You will adore the staff. They can%26#39;t do enough to please you and are so proud of their little hotel. When we were there the ASR had just won the monthly prize for best hotel in their chain (of three) and Sanjay was letting off fireworks, he was so pleased.

Orlando will get you fresh spices and his own secret masala mix if you ask him and he got us a huge lobster each for our last night%26#39;s meal. All you have to do is ask.

Please do not take any notice of whinging, grudging comments from people whose only expectation of all-inclusive is to pay nothing extra for Coca-cola and international branded drinks. Get Limca instead and drink the local beer and port (very good indeed) The food is varied and good, especially specials nights, and there is plenty of choice for breakfast.

The rooms are simple with tiled floors but that is appropriate to the tropics and we found them to be spotlessly kept. We are trying Kerala this year but we will definitely be back.
