Haridwar to Agra - how much / how long by car?

We are gonna be traveliing from Haridwar to Agra, and have a full day to do this in. Just out of interest howmuch and how long will it take. I think its about 230 miles.

Will we be able to get a driver to take us easily enough?

You can easily arrange this in Haridwar. Any travel agent in of the many shops around Har-Ki-Pouri ghat will do it for you. It will take you about 6-7 hours, I think. I would highly recommend you book a SUV, like Scorpio/Qualis/Toyota Innova to make the trip. More safety and more comfort. If its a local agency you can bargain the price down.
