Thomas Cook Flights

Any news yet?????

Thomas Cook Flights

That%26#39;s good, Direct Holidays and My Travel are just agents, the go between you and your acual holiday supplier.

Thomas Cook flights are good, My partner came out to Goa in December on it and not a complaint, he said the food was ok and they have TV indivual sceens which is a must on long flights.

I would say it%26#39;s good news. Very good news compared to some of the flights you could of ended up on.

It depends which plane they use. If it%26#39;s the 767 they%26#39;re not great - no seat back tv%26#39;s, cramped etc...

You can easily ring Thomas Cook at any of their shops and ask them what plane is flying at that time.

When r u flying as i also go from manchester on a monday at 15.55pm.

It appears Thomas Cook on a Monday from Manchester are using My Travel for flights, see charterlineonline.com/manchester/…results.php

Link seemed not to work - this one does though

Thomas Cook recently bought My Travel. Our flight out on 22nd March is a My Travel flight, but the one back on 13th April is a Thomas Cook flight, but will I assume be the same aircraft.

Incidentally I was told by Thomas Cook airlines that all of their long haul aircraft will be upgraded by May 2008, and will have 33 inch legroom in economy from then on, also they will all have seat back TV. Mind you My Travel said that in 2006. If it is true the flights should be a similar sort of standard to Thomsonfly and First Choice. I also heard a whisper that Monarch are going to upgrade as well. Anyone else heard this?

There is every chance that you are flying with Mytravel I think. We flew out on the same time flight from Manchester at the end of Jan and it was a 767 which is a 2-4-2 config. No seat back tv%26#39;s (and only half the main tvs were working or of good enough quality to watch - if you could see them), and quite cramped seating. I think the excitement of going on holiday got me through the outward journey, and i was asleep for most of the return as you have to get up at daft-o-clock to get to the airport.

It does depend on when you are travelling though - according to Wikpedia, Mytravel flights will be integrated into Thomas Cook Airlines on March 30th. This might just be branding of course and those tiny 767s will keep on flying long haul.

Another alternative - there is a bloke called Darren Wilson, who does aviation photography, and he posts on holidaytruths so you%26#39;d have to find him from there - Dazbo5 - but he does seem to know everything about everything when it comes to everything there is to know about individual flight numbers, what plane you will be on, size etc., everything down to the stewardess%26#39;s nail polish (on her toes!!!) - joking here but he is incredibly good.

Hi,

Anyone flying out at 15.55 hrs on a Monday from Manchester will be on a First Choice flight, one of the best charter flights you could have. They have 33'; leg room and tv on the back of the seats. They also have 36'; legroom in their premier star travel for about 200 pounds more. Only 100 pounds each way for a 10 hour flight. Not bad when you consider the comfort there and back, all the alcohol you can drink and better food and snacks with dedicated staff, quik checkin and priority boarding. Might as well be comfortable. Don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll be disappointed with First Choice. I will be on that flight, maybe c u at airport.
