bus - north to south

going to candolim this easter - third time. finally going to venture down to the south for a couple of nights, i was wondering if anyone had done it by bus rather than taxi. i know it means changing a couple of times but like to use bus when we can - but only short distance up till now - rather than taxi as you experience far more (especially on goan buses!)

bus - north to south

Catch a bus from Candolim to Panjim and then from there to Margao which is the main market town in the South from here you can catch a bus to where ever you want to go.

bus - north to south

thanks goanjock, thought that looked like the way to go. roughly how long do you think it would take altogehter with changing buses, how often do they run to the south and is there an obvious place where we get off and change (interchange place - obviously goan style. We were thinking round agonda or palolem, beach huts whats your opinion goanjock?

The bus%26#39;s run regularly (I think every half hour from Margao to Palolem, last one around 1630 and more frequently from Panjim to Margao) When you get to Margao you change at the main bus station which is on the outskirts of Margao and easy to know you are there.

thanks goanjock, think we will be doing the bus route then.

Have a great adventure :-) Sorry I can%26#39;t help with the times it%26#39;s a question on here that I am hopeless with. I am always too busy looking at all the great scenery, street scenes, people watching etc. etc. and never notice how long it takes to get anywhere ;-)
