1 more photosA recent establishment in Candolim, aimed mainly at the British tourist and centrally located on the Fort Aguada road. The menu is varied but leans towards european and entertainment is provided most evenings. The rooms vary in size and price, from 800rps to 2400rps per night and depending on time of season, but as in most places everyone is open to negotiation. The resort has a pleasant swimming pool and terraced area, and a 200mt stroll to the beach.

It%26#39;s very central. We had a meal there one night which was quite good. They do things like pie and mash if you fancy a bit of comfort food for a change. It was karaoke the night we were there but I noticed as we walked past they had different things on every night. It seemed very popular with the Brits though we only went there the once.

The Ruffles Beach Resort Hotel is not British run. It is a Goan family business. The bar / restaurant IS British run by Lynn and Mark. Lynn has many years experience in running a bar / restaurant in the UK. The hotel is well place for the beach, bars, restaurants and is a comfortable base. I have stayed there for the last two years and am looking forward to going again early 2007. Ruffles bar offers great food for the brits wanting ';home'; cooking and also offers a great range of goan dishes - try the vegetable curry.

Entertainment at Ruffles Bar is different every night and is hugely popular. The staff have their own way of joining in with the entertainment and clearly enjoy every minute of it. A great night out.

If you anyone goes - say hello to Lynn from Glen and Ezzer.

Enjoy!
