Looking for recommendation for places to stay in Goa. Ideally a luxurious resort-type hotel in a good location. So far, all reviews seem to point towards either Taj Exotica or The Leela. Would you agree? Would also like to be close to good local food (beach shacks I guess) and not too far from some sort of nightlife/shopping, even though we%26#39;re not looking for rave parties etc.

near to all you want and at the quieter end of Goa.

If you want super luxury try the Taj they have bungalows there that are definately priced to keep the riff raff out I think around 106,000 rupees per night was quoted for the presidential villa with sea view.(thats about £1300 to £1400) Personally, being riff raff, I don%26#39;t often stay there.
