Hilton Towers to Dadar

Hi we are staying in Mumbai for a couple of nights at the Hilton Towers and need to get a taxi to Dadar railway station to catch the express train down to Goa. How long would you think it will take, the train leaves at 5.30am, not sure at what time we should leave the hotel. Any ideas please?

At that time of the morning, 30 minutes. Leave at 4:30, so you have 30 minutes at the station to find the train, your seats, etc. There is a taxi stand outside the Hilton, ask concierge whether you can get local taxis at that time there. Or book a car.

You will definitely get the local taxis from the Hilton Hotel and they will charge you the night rates which is slightly more than the daytime rates. It will take about 25 minutes to get to Dadar Station (just tell the driver to take the taxi via the JJ Flyover to Dadar Central Railway terminus). It should not cost you more than Rs125 if the driver is not taking you for a ride. Hope this helps. The train will be on either platform #7 or #8 which is the Dadar (Central Railway) Terminus platforms on the outside of the local and mainline platforms upto #6. The Shatabdi Express usually leaves on time so be there early as you may have to walk quite a lot to get to your coach if it is in the front of the train especially since the platform entrance is at the end of the train.
