first timer to goa

hi, never having been there before i want be a part of all the action. want to stay near good food, beach, shops, nightlife, but want the hotel in a peaceful setting.

need some help as to where to stay. going for 3 days over the weekend.

Anjuna=Hotel Bougainvillea/Granpas Inn

calangute-hotel golden eye, red lion, kerkar retreat

any suggestions?

To be honest I think you will be better off just getting a hotel in Callengute and doing a day trip to Anjuna, they are just next to each other and aq taxi only takes 20 minutes... we stayed at the Villa Goesa last year it was wonderful and only a 5 min walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to main callengute.. and if you dont want to venture too far a wonderful resturant across the road and a wicked beach shack attached to the hotel if you want a bit more of a party...
