Can anyone advise me as to the cheapest way to buy tickets from Manchester to Delhi next Christmas? Going mid Dec and returning early Jan %26#39;09. Do we wait until nearer the time or search and book as early as possible?

We are heading to Delhi from Manchester in two weeks time. Although not strictly a busy period I undertook a lot of research and have found that the best prices dissapeared quickly and have increased ever since.
We are travelling with Qatar Airways for 拢430/pp directly through their website; although we just missed out on a bargain fare of 拢363 inc tax(!) about 9 months before departure. Flight times are 8pm from Mcr weekdays; all other flights would require an additonal days holiday if travelling midweek. Emirates fares are also good.
The above also have the advantage of avoiding Heathrow (hell on earth) and Charles de Gaulle.
