Am planning to stay at vedic village with my family for 6 days.Believe the hotel is quite far from the city.Plz suggest a car rental which is reliabable ,efficient and not very expensive,to show us in and around kolkata.thanx

Your best bet would be to to hire a car rental service based around Salt Lake City because otherwise the to and fro distance is going to kill you alone.
There are several agencies in Salt Lake who do car hire, do a search on Google. You can hire one off the web for the first day. If they seem inefficient and expensive, you could always find another in Salt Lake like Labony travels, Jagannath Travels, Lucky travels, Kedia Travels etc. If you need addresses, send me a pm.
Even Vedic Village will offer rentals, but they will be more expensive than the local operators.
