My husband and I will be in Delhi (Day 1) on Holi (March 22nd). We have tours booked for the following on that day:
Visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun%26#39;s Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President%26#39;s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre.
How will Holi impact us? Do the hotels have celebrations for holi on the eve or day of?

Holi in Delhi
I would suggest you do not go for sightseeing on holi. More than sightseeing you will be seen and coloured.
Btter to stay in the hotel and celebrate holi there itself. They surely be having a small party for their guests. Depends on where oyu are staying.
Anyway most of the things are closed till atleast the afternoon. And i think everyone will anyway be in a festive mood to be sitting at monuments managin it.
Though I am goign to Qutab minar tomororw, I will find out what the scene will be like and update you.
if u move around on holi day morning expect lot of colours, lot of ppl on roads dancing plyaing in colours but u will also find some drunkds who may spoil some party but rest sure moving on roads on holi will be experince to have in life time
Yes i am totaly agree with mr.Cpt. please don%26#39;t move from hotel atleast before the half past of the day.I would reccommend you to stay in the hotel and enjoy the holi there itslef. You might face some unwanted things to be haapens as they use mud and water before 3.00 pm.
I am living in Delhi .
thanks
Thank you all for your quick response. It sounds like holi will limit us from or tour. Considering this, we will likely not go to Delhi at all as we were only there for 1 day.
