off to Goa next week can anyone tell me if i can buy english ciggies + tobacco or shall i get them on the plane going out. Can you take your lighter on the plane going out.

If you fly from Manchester and stop off in Bahrain, get it all there, loads cheaper than UK airports. The same goes for coming back.
Plus in resort you can get the UK popular brands.
Better in the Elephant Shops as they are 99% genuine, other places may work you a few snides.

Be very careful when buying ciggies in Goa - lots of shops have fakes, and we even got some duds at the airport duty free when returning home! Apparently, they were ';unsmokable';, according to the pal we brought them back for.
don,t buy the cigs/tobacco on the way out they will take them of u in goa airport get them on way back home in bahrain aiport 5 x50g golden virginia £ 8.80 equals £1.66 each or lambert and butler £5.90 for 200 or type in bahrain airport and have a look for your self
we went in nov 07 and we got fags for 6.50 at the airport in goa you can also smoke at the airport but theres a bloke on the door he wants money of you to open and shut the door but if you want a smoke then its worth paying a few coins to him you also have to pay for 1 sheet of Loo roll to use the Loo hope ive helped have a good trip we did
Do not buy ciggies and tobacoo from England , here they r ridiculously cheap....go to larger supermarkets in Goa and pick cartons if you are worried about fakes...
The majority of cigs you buy in goa are fakes!!!!
