can anyone tell me what the airport is like in trivandrum?? is it as manic as dabolim in goa ??

The airport is basic.... The plane parks and buses transfer you to the terminal buildings, once inside there is A/C and you proceed through immigration, custom control from there to the baggage carousel and then depart.
The usual safety and security is in force with armed police etc and once outside you will be directed by the tour reps meeting you to buses to your destination.
There is a brand new international airport being built at the moment which should be opening for next season.

The Airport is calmer and not as manic as Dabolim. The luggage was there much faster, which was great. However, when we were returning home, we were unfortunate enough to choose the check-in queue with the guy who didn%26#39;t speak much English and although we had booked extra legroom seats with Monarch, one of us didn%26#39;t get one, despite us reminding him at the time that we%26#39;d paid for these.
At least they don%26#39;t appear to close the airport doors if the get too busy, as I%26#39;ve seen them do in Goa!

The weather here is fine and warm 33C reported locally, the seas have quietened down and the exchange rate 77 Inr to the Pound today.

The airport is small but basically clean. Queues for security were long early in the morning. Don%26#39;t waste money paying to use the business lounge. It is a joke. A small room with about 10 dirty and torn white leather sofas. The seats outside were cleaner.
